So....

my beautiful book of quotes
I realised recently that I put a quote at the end of every post and maybe people ( I use the plural loosely, seeing as I think this blog isn't actually read much and the page views come from family or you, the person about to click next!) would like to know where I get them from. Originally they are all from the quotes section on goodreads.com but my favourites go in my book of quotes.

I am now re-naming Mondays: M's Quote day! ( it's not exactly poetry but hey!) This is also a bit of a filler as I have a post scheduled for the 4th but I am unsure whether to post it so this will keep any readers I have happy while I fret about it!

Today's picks are.....

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
― Albert Einstein

I walked a mile with Sorrow;
And ne’er a word said she;
But, oh! The things I learned from her,
When Sorrow walked with me."
— Robert Browning Hamilton

"Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly."
— Neil Gaiman

“Fate is like a strange, unpopular restaurant filled with odd little waiters who bring you things you never asked for and don't always like.”
― Lemony Snicket

“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default.”
― J.K. Rowling

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
― J.R.R. TolkienThe Fellowship of the Ring

I believe that life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you're alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it."
— Neil Gaiman
